The Lunar New Year in 2006 begins January 29, but festivities continue for a couple weeks. Is Chinatown the only place in LA to ring in the new year? Check out Courtney Gable's listing of Chinese and Vietnamese New Year celebrations arcoss the Southland. If you're near Disneyland, you can head over to the Vietnamese Tet Festival in Garden Grove January 27 to 29. Other festivities continue through February 5th.
