Speakeasy for a Day - or Two

Tuesday March 28, 2006
Popular LA nightclub, Avalon, will transform itself into Big Al's Speakeasy for two remaining performances of the 1920's era burlesque phenomenon, Harlottique. For two Thursdays, March 30 and April 6th, the hot spot at Hollywood and Vine adds some sizzle as eight scantily clad women and two overdressed men sing, dance, joke and vamp to a six-piece jazz band. Tickets are $35. Tables are for dinner reservations only. VIP balcony tables are $300 for four people. For more information visit the Harlottique website.

Other fun shows coming up at Avalon include Jim Balushi and the Sacred Hearts with a guest appearance by Dan Akroyd on April 5; and Swiss electronic harpist Andreas Vollenweider on April 23.
