Six Flags Magic Mountain to Stay Open
Tuesday January 23, 2007
After a season of insecurity, the final cuts at Six Flags theme parks have been announced and LA's Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor will remain open under the Six Flags name, while seven other parks around the country are being sold. The first step of the new management team will be to dismantle the Cyclone and Flashback roller coasters to make room for more family-friendly rides. I am hoping they will add restroom repairs, a new paint job and better security to their To Do List.To reward loyal fans for their support during the indecision, Magic Mountain has expanded their winter specials. The Buy a Day, Get a Year Play Pass offer gives you free admission all year to all Six Flags parks with no blackout dates for $59.99, the normal price of a one-day ticket. To sweeten the pot, they are throwing in 4 free friend and family tickets, a free child ticket, a free Hurricane Harbor ticket and additional discounts. A VIP Xtreme Play Pass is available for $125. It adds four Flash Pass front of the line tickets per visit and free parking as well as other discounts.
Through February 28, 2007, buy a Play Pass or Xtreme Play Pass and receive a Child's Play Pass (under 48" tall) FREE. Before February 25, 2007, they'll throw in a free Flash Pass front of the line pass for the new extreme roller coaster, Tatsu. For more information visit www.SixFlags.com
