Tall Ships Battle Off Long Beach

Tall Ships © 2007 Kayte Deioma, all rights reservedThe tall ships Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington will be exchanging canon fire for the next two weekends off the coast of Long Beach. The public can board the two vessels for the three hour Battle Sails as the ships volley for the best position to fire their guns. Sunday morning the ships will also take a three hour adventure cruise - minus the fireworks. During the week the two tall ships will stay in in port providing educational tours for school classes during the day. They will be open to the public for tours from 4 to 5 pm.
When: Adventure Sail Sundays Jan 28 and Feb 4 10 am - 1 pm, Battle Sails, Sunday, January 27, Sat & Sun Feb 3 & 4 2 - 5 pm, Ship Tours through Feb 6, M-F 4-5pm
Where: Pine Avenue Pier at Rainbow Harbor, Long Beach
Cost:
Adventure Tour - Adults $55, children 12 and under $35, students 13-18 and seniors $45, Battle Sails $60 Adults, $40 12 and under, seniors and students $50, Tours - donations requested
Parking: At the Aquarium or the Pike parking structures
