ExpressJet Adds Service from Ontario International Airport
Wednesday February 7, 2007
Between April 2 and May 14, 2007, Houston-based ExpressJet Airlines will launch service to 14 new non-stop destinations from Ontario International Airport (ONT) in Ontario, CA. This is great news for people traveling in and out of the Inland Empire as well as those trying to avoid the congestion at LAX.
The 1 new cities that will be served directly from Ontario are Albuquerque, Austin, Boise, Colorado Springs, El Paso, Fresno, Kansas City MO, Monterey, Oklahoma City, Omaha, San Antonio, Spokane, Tucson and Tulsa.
ExpressJet has been operating Continental Express service for Continental Airlines, but the flights out of Ontario will fly under the ExpressJEt banner. The new flights will be on 50-seat Embraer aircraft with leather seats and XM Satellite Radio. There are no middle seats so everyone gets an aisle or a window. You'll also be able to get valet carry-on service (hmm, will that speed up or slow down boarding?), and full service meal options on longer flights.
Stay tuned for flights to become available through your local travel agents and online services.
