Happy Japanese New Year!

Japanese New YearIf you're still in the holiday spirit, you can celebrate the New Year again this weekend at the Japanese New Year Celebration in LA's Little Tokyo. The Year of the Rat will be welcomed with a traditional and contemporary arts performance and a 1000-year-old Zen archery purification ceremony. There is also an accompanying art exhibit at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center.

When: Sunday, January 6, 2008, 1 pm
Where: Courtyard in front of the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, 244 South San Pedro Street, Suite 505, (between 2nd and 3rd Streets), Los Angeles (Little Tokyo), CA 90012
Cost: Free
Parking: There are several pay parking structures and lots across the street and around the block.
