Opera Season Continues in LA

Fans of German Opera have two stunning productions opening in January.
The LA Opera will perform Wagner's Tristan and Isolde with David Hockney's production design and James Conlon conducting at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion.
When: Jan 19, 23, 27, 31, Feb 3, 6 & 10, 2008, 7 pm, except Sun 1 pm
Where: The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Music Center, 135 N. Grand Ave., LA 90012

Parking: Self parking in the Music Center Garage $8, Valet $20

Note: If you're staying on the west side of LA, you can take the Luxury Express bus from the Federal Building on Wilshire to and from weeknight performances for $15 including parking at the Federal Building.
Opera Pacific will present four performances of Mozart's The Magic Flute at Segerstrom Hall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
When: Jan 23, 27, 21, Feb 2, 2008, 7:30 pm, except Sun 2 pm
Where: Segerstrom Hall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center (NOT to be confused with the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at the same location), 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Parking: Center Tower Parking Structure, adjacent to Segerstrom Hall on Sunflower Avenue between Avenue of the Arts and Park Center Drive. MAP

Plan Ahead: Upcoming performances in the LA Opera Season include Otello, Recovered Voices (various one acts), Tosca, and La Rondine. Opera Pacific will perform the American folk-opera Susannah in May.
