If the International Surf Festival in the Southbay isn't enough surf fun for you, the world's largest professional surfing competition, the Nike US Open of Surfing, takes place next week in Huntington Beach. Surfing is just one part of the event, which includes action sports, music and a lifestyle festival. Qualifying starts July 30, but the real competition happens August 6-7, 2011 . There will be as much happening on land as in the water with BMX competitions, live music, the festival village and children's activities competing with the surfers for audience attention.
