Eat, drink and party for charity this weekend at the LA Street Food Fest Summer Tasting Event. Dozens of popular LA food trucks and carts will be on hand as well as celebrity chefs in a Street Food Cook-Off. DJs will be providing the tunes.
Admission includes food, beer, cocktails, tequila, soft drinks, entertainment and even parking. The Summer Tasting will be back at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Tickets are limited and are only available online by advance purchase. Partial proceeds from the event benefit St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.
If you're planning on taking advantage of all that free-flowing booze and free parking, make sure you have a designated driver. The Pasadena PD will be on hand to reinforce that message. You might also consider taking public transportation. A free shuttle will be operating from the Metro Gold Line Memorial Park station. Event organizers will have a list of taxi numbers available.
