ICE at Santa Monica outdoor skating rink is already open, but the official Grand Opening Ceremony is tonight, Thursday, November 8, 2012. It's hosted by Olympic skaters Randy Gardner and Tai Babilonia, with performances by synchronized skaters, a holiday concert and free public skating.
In addition to the 8000 square foot main rink, a smaller 400 square foot rink is provided for children 6 and under. Skating lessons and season passes are available.
When: Nov 2, 2012 - Jan 21, 2012, Mon-Thurs 2 - 10 pm, Fri 2 pm - midnight, Sat 10 am to midnight, Sun 10 am to 10 pm, extended hours over the holidays.
Where: 1324 5th Street (at Arizona Avenue), Santa Monica, CA 90401
Cost: $12 including skate rental. Admission to opening day festivities is free.
