Just because the Christmas Eve Holiday Show is a gift from the LA County Supervisors to the citizens of LA County doesn't mean that tourists aren't welcome. In fact it's a great way for visitors and locals to experience the wonderfully diverse cultures of LA. Every year the show is a combination of new acts and returning favorites that showcase the myriad of cultural communities in the LA area. Returning this year are perennial favorites Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Vox Femina women's choir, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, Shin Dance Company Korean dancers and the Colburn School Choir, among others. The groups appearing for the first time include the Second Samoan Congregational Church Choir, Shakti Dance Company performing dances from India, Vaud & the Villains New Orleans jazz band and Double G and Strings hip hip orchestra to name just a few. The performance is December 24, 2012 from 3 to 6 pm at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
