The Tournament of Roses is best known for the Rose Bowl football game and the Rose Parade, which both take place in Pasadena on New Year's Day, except this year, when New Year's falls on a Sunday, and they're rescheduled to Monday. But did you know you could get in on the excitement before the big day? Equifest and Bandfest give visitors a chance to see the equestrian teams and marching bands perform on December 29, a few days before they march in the parade. Bandfest continues on December 30th.
Here are some resources I whipped up to tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the Tournament of Roses.
And, in case you need something else to do while you're in Pasadena:
If you don't want to be right in Pasadena, the city of Beverly Hills is going all out this year with a whole package of specials for Rose Bowl fans.
