Kingdom Day Parade in LAThe Kingdom Day Parade in LA happens each January. In the past it has generally been on the federally recognized Martin Luther King Day holiday Monday, which is January 21, but for 2013, they're moving it to Saturday, January 19. Over 150 floats and marching bands will parade from Martin Luther King Drive at Western two miles to Crenshaw beginning at 11 am.

You can get a preview in the Kingdom Day Parade Gallery from a previous parade with celebrity guest Stevie Wonder.

Long Beach will also hold its Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace & Unity Parade Celebration on Saturday, January 19, beginning at 10:30 am along Martin Luther King Jr. Ave from 7th Street north to King Park, where a festival will be held from 12:30 to 5 pm.
