With Valentine's Day coming up, discussions arise about what kinds of romantic things there are to do in LA. When I started creating romantic content for Los Angeles Travel, I asked my Facebook and Twitter friends for suggestions and didn't get any. So I started wondering if people in general perceive Los Angeles to be a romantic destination. What about you?
Do you think of Los Angeles as a romantic destination?
- Absolutely! Right up there with Paris, Venice (Italy) or Tahiti.
- Yes, I think romance when I think of LA.
- I expect I could have a romantic time in LA, but it's not the first thing that comes to mind.
- It wouldn't occur to me to associate romance with LA.
- I think Los Angeles is a particularly unromantic destination.
Here are some ideas I came up with for Romantic Things to Do in Los Angeles. They wouldn't all fit in one list, so here are Even More Romantic Things to Do in Los Angeles. Here are some additional events specifically for Valentine's Day in LA.

I met and married my husband in L.A. – 25 years later (this coming summer) we are still married…it’s a pretty romantic place! Think of sunsets over the ocean, walks through The Huntington Library, the San Gabriel Mountains, fine dining and theatre events…
The Hollywood Bowl on a summer evening, sitting in a box, a bottle of wine and the atmosphere the screams LA or a sailboat in the Santa Monica Bay looking back across toward land, the foothills in the distance, the Santa Monica Pier buzzing with tourists and the sand on the beach dotted with people worshiping the sun or the Getty on a nice day, having Lunch with a view of the Westside and the Pacific. Very romantic.
