Lantern Festival at Olvera Street

Chinese Lantern FestivalThe Chinese American Museum's Lantern Festival is the final Los Angeles event celebrating Chinese New Year. The museum is not in Chinatown, but nearby in El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Site, so the festival spreads across Olvera Street with entertainment taking place on the Plaza gazebo stage.  Live entertainment will include lion dancers, acrobatics, musical, and dance performances, craft workshops and free entrance to the Chinese American Museum.

When: March 2, 2013, noon to 7 pm
Where: 425 Los Angeles Street at El Pueblo Historic Site/Olvera Street
Cost: Free
Parking: Pay lots in the area
Metro: Union Station
