Kingdom Day Parade in LAThe Kingdom Day Parade in LA happens each January. This year it's back on the federally recognized Martin Luther King Day holiday Monday, which is January 20, 2014. Over 150 floats and marching bands will parade down Martin Luther King Drive from Western two miles to Crenshaw, then south to Vernon and east back to Western. beginning at 11 am. A Gospel Fest will take place on Crenshaw Blvd. from Vernon Ave. to 48th St. from 10 am to 5 pm during the Kingdom Day Parade. Check www.kingdomdayparade.org for more info.

Long Beach will also hold its Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace & Unity Parade Celebration on Saturday, January 18, 2014, beginning at 10:30 am along Martin Luther King Jr. Ave from 7th Street north to King Park, where a festival will be held from 12:30 to 5 pm.
