General

The first place to check for discounted attractions is the local CVB website. LA Inc, the Anaheim CVB and the Long Beach CVB web sites all offer special offers from their members. The AAA also offers many discounts for members traveling to L.A., including discounts on major attractions.

Attractions

These major attractions often offer discount coupons or packages. Some museums also offer dollars-off coupons on their websites. You can also check out this list of Museum Free Days.

Theatre

Goldstar Events offers discounted tickets to many theatre productions in Southern California as well as sporting events, musical events, spectacles, spa discounts and more. Most tickets are half price. Some are free.

StubDog.com is a more recent addition to the discount ticket scene in LA, but is providing some competition for Goldstar in the half-price ticket category, so it's a good idea to bookmark both.

LA Stage Tix offers advance half-price theatre tickets online for L.A. area theatres.

For additional savings, the following companies offer dining, entertainment and attraction discount packages, cards and coupon books.

The Go Los Angeles Card is a flat rate card based on number of days used, which offers free entry into over 30 attractions including museums, tours and venues not included in other cards or packages.

The Entertainment Book is a coupon book and discount card with discounts at fine dining and fast food restaurants, attractions, tours, cruises, hotels, rental cars, groceries and more.

The LA Perks Pass is a discount card developed by two LA concierges that offers dollars-off, percent-off and 2 for 1 discounts at select attractions, restaurants, shopping centers and spas around Los Angeles.

Cozmo Card offers dining discounts on trendy restaurants using a discount card or “deck” of discount card coupons.

CityPass offers the Southern California CityPass for discounts on a combination of major theme parks and the Hollywood Walk of Fame CityPass for a combination of Hollywood museums and tours.

Websites

Kijubi.com is a ticket broker website that provides tickets to theme parks, tours and adventure activities in California. Most of the tickets are discounted from gate prices and are often less than the providers' online prices. Sign up for Kijubi's Deal of the Week for additional discounts.

Using dining certificates from Restaurant.com is a great way to save money when eating out in Los Angeles and other parts of the country. It helps narrow down the choices when trying to decide where to eat. The website is easy to navigate and the certificates are easy to use.

Groupon.com offers an interesting way to save money on food, attractions and random activities and services in the LA area by providing volume discounts for a minimum number of purchases.

Other Resources

Free L.A. - The Ultimate Free Fun Guide doesn't include any coupons, but it's a handy guide book for all things free and fun in Los Angeles, from museums and tours to yoga classes.
