If it's your first visit to Disneyland, it can be overwhelming to figure out how to make the most of your trip. You could just go and head in any direction, stopping at rides that look like they might be interesting, but you can make much better use of your time in the park with a little bit of advance research.

If you're visiting the park with toddlers, a quick review of the rides will show you that almost all the appropriate rides are in Fantasyland and Toontown. Since Toontown opens an hour after the park opens, you can head straight to Fantasyland to keep the little ones happy. Traveling with teens? Then the Indiana Jones Adventure or Space Mountain will be more their speed. The following pages will give you an overview of what rides, attractions, restaurants and shops you can find in each of Disney's "Lands." Click on the links for a full description of each ride. For more details about restaurants and shops, visit the Disneyland Shopping Directory and Disneyland Dining Directory.

To reduce time standing in line, be sure to take advantage of FASTPASS and RideMax.
