The Long Beach Crawfish Festival is an annual event celebrating the music and food of Louisiana, especially crawfish, which is cooked in massive boilers for the event. It generally takes place at Rainbow Lagoon in Long Beach in August, but check the website at www.crawfishfestival.com for the most up to date details.
The Crawfish Festival should not be confused with the Bayou Festival, which takes place at the same location in June, although you'll see a lot of the same folks come out to dance to great Cajun and Zydeco music.
