Dia de los Muertos

, is a Mexican celebration of those who have gone before. Traditionally families decorate the graves of their loved ones and take a picnic to the cemetery. In certain towns, people parade through the streets dressed as skeletons and eat sugar skulls.
There are many celebrations of Day of the Dead in Los Angeles
. One of the largest and most colorful is at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery
, the resting place of many famous celebrities. The event takes place either on a Saturday in October either immediately before Halloween or a week earlier.
