From 2002 to November 3, 2006 The Griffith Observatory on Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park was closed for remodelling. Over four years they dug out the hillside under the Observatory and added 40,000 square feet of new exhibit space, a gift shop and a cafe with one of the best views in LA. Here is a glimpse of the New Griffith Observatory.
