Friday Schedule

An Evening with Greg LeMond with Special Guest Kozo Shimano
An evening with cycling legend Greg LeMond. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00pm., followed by dinner, presentations on the cycling world and an opportunity to ask questions of Greg LeMond and Kozo Shimano. LeMond and Shimano will share anecdotes about their paths to success including the challenges, triumphs and experiences that have catapulted them to the top of the cycling world. Tickets for the event are $100 per person. Tickets for the event are limited.

Santa Clarita Grand Prix Woman's Professional Cycling Race
This inaugural Santa Clarita Grand Prix is a female only criterion featuring elite women riders from all over the world. The course is a 1.1 mile loop with over 110 feet of climbing each lap.

When:February 24, 2007
Hours:9:30 am - Womens 3/4*, 10:30 am - Womens Pro 1/2
Where: Valencia Industrial Center, the start is at the Corner of Kelly Johnson Parkway and Constellation in the City of Santa Clarita.
Cost: Viewing is free from most locations and exciting from anywhere on the course.

Family Ride
Families can get into the action literally with the Family Ride sponsored by Health Net on Saturday.

Hours:11:00am-12:30pm
Where: From City Hall along the City's off-street trail system. Families can choose to ride a 3 mile beginner route, 5 mile intermediate route or the 7 mile advanced route. All participants will finish at the actual finish for the Amgen Tour of California. All entrants will receive a event numbered bib, t-shirt, medal and a raffle ticket.
Cost: $12 Adults, $10 children 12 and under
