Hollywood Forever Cemetery Walking Tour and Day of the Dead
Guided tour by the Art Deco Society of the graves of some of Hollywood’s most notable characters. Tours last 1.5 - 2 hours. the Day of the Dead celebration includes decorated altars and Mexican dia de los Muertos festivities.
Location: Hollywood Forever Cemetery, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd.
Date: Walking tours Oct 8, 10 am to 12 pm, leaving every 20 minutes; Day of the Dead October 22, 2011, 1 pm - midnight
Cost: $20 Art Deco Tour, reservations for walking tour available online, $10 for Day of the Dead

Historical Society of Long Beach Annual Cemetery Tour
The dead come to life to tell you about the lives they lived and the way they died at the neighboring Long Beach Municipal and Sunnyside Cemeteries in Long Beach
Location: Sunnyside and Long Beach Municipal Cemeteries, 1095 E. Willow St., Long Beach
Date: Saturday, October 29, 2011
Hours: Presentations continuously 9 am - 2:30 pm, Guided tours begin on the hour 9 am – noon. Allow 2 hours.
Cost: $18, Children 12-18 $5, Children 12 and under free. (2011 prices TBA)

Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade
The annual parade of costumed pooches and their humans in Belmont Shore, Long Beach. The event includes a Canine Costume Contest, pet related vendors and pet adoption opportunities. Costumed kids lead the parade, followed by the dogs.
Location: Starts and ends at Livingston Park, 4900 E. Livingston Dr. at Park Ave., Long Beach, CA 90803. The pups parade down Park Ave. to 2nd Street to Nieto and back on the other side of the street.
Date: Sunday, October 30, 2011
Hours: Park festivities are noon – 5 pm, parade is 2:30 – 3:30ish, Children's costume competition at 4:30 pm.
Cost: $25 on site, free for kids to participate and free to watch, seats are available to rent for $5 or bring your own.
