The Long Beach International Sea Festival is the name given to a collection of events that take place in Long Beach every summer over a period of three months from June through August. Most of them are on or near the water, although over time events have spread throughout the city. Some of the events are really only interesting to the competitors (there's not much to watch in a race to Catalina unless you're in it.), while others are enjoyable for the whole family. The funding for the umbrella organization has vanished but most of the events still take place, scheduled by individual organizations, businesses and venues. It's a lot to wade through, so I've grouped them here by event type so you can just look at festivals, or just look at water sports, depending on your interests.
