Activities for Children with Special Needs

The following activities are either designed for or can accommodate children with special needs.

Catalina Ski Club “Special Needs Children's Day” (Marine Stadium, July 18, 2008).
The annual event features a day of water-related activities for children with special needs, including boat, tube, kayak and PWC rides, clowns, hamburgers and hot dogs. (562) 943-5268

Kids Fishing Rodeo (Belmont Veteran Memorial Pier, Aug. 1) The 54th annual event is brought to you by the SoCal Tuna Club and Alfredos Beach Club. The Rodeo is free to kids 16 and under and includes free bait, snacks and instruction. Visitors must provide own rod and reel and there’ll be prizes for many categories. Annual Land Meets Sea Sports Camp (Marine Stadium, Aug. 5-8)
This unique camp gives people ages 4 and up with various disabilities the opportunity to explore competitive and recreational sports such as water skiing, sailing, hot air balloon rides, canoeing, jet skiing, scuba, a Kids Kamp and much more. www.casacolina.org

Model Sailboat Regatta (Colorado Lagoon, Aug 8, 2008 11 am - 3 pm)
