The Long Beach Marathon starts on Shoreline Drive near Linden in Downtown Long Beach. It crosses the Queensway Bridge to loop around in front of the Queen Mary, then back across the Ocean Blvd bridge and past the Aquarium of the Pacific and Shoreline Village before heading across the beach path to Belmont Shore. The course continues along Marine Stadium, circling Colorado Lagoon before heading to California State University Long Beach, past the Pyramid Sports Complex, then back by Colorado Lagoon down to Ocean Blvd to the finish line on Shoreline Drive. Participants can register online for the Marathon by Oct 3 or send in the form from the website by Sept 1. If the race doesn't sell out, you can register in person at the Health & Fitness Expo Oct 5-6 at the Long Beach Convention Center. You must have a runners bib to be on the course during the race. There is a 7.5 hour time limit to finish the race.
Each runner must pick up their registration packet at the Expo on Friday or Saturday before the race. There is no pick up on race day.

Parking: $10 at the Sports Arena, Convention Center, the Pike and Aquarium parking structures, but the traffic flow getting into the parking structures can take hours. The Metro Blue Line stops a couple blocks from the Marathon start and finish line. There are free park-and-ride lots at Wardlow and Willow in Long Beach, both convenient from the 405 freeway.
