The Bottom Line

Le Parc Suite all-suite hotel is a comfortable, chic, residential-style 3-story hotel on a quiet street in West Hollywood. These suites with kitchen, dining and living areas are popular with American Idol contestants and others who need a central location for an extended stay. It is within walking distance of shops on Melrose, interior design showrooms on La Cienega and the gay bars on Santa Monica Blvd. The rates are quite reasonable for the amenities and location.

Guide Review - Le Parc Suite Hotel

I shared a Studio Double at Le Parc Suite with my sister and her family of 4. We chose a room with 2 double beds and a sofa bed, so we could all share a room. It's less high design and more homey and comfortable than many West Hollywood hotels. The kids loved the small rooftop pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub with a view of the Hollywood Hills.

All the rooms at Le Parc Suite have a kitchen/dining area, sleeper sofa and chairs, a gas fireplace and 2 TVs with DVD players. A divider can be used to close off the bedroom from the living area in studio configurations, but the partition cuts off the sleeping area from the AC unit up near the ceiling in the kitchen. The AC unit was too high for me to see the controls, and when the morning sun hit the outside of it, it kicked on really cold.

There is no desk, but the dining table was fine to work at, with a power outlet in close proximity. I could position myself to see the TV while I worked.

The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped with enough towels for all of us. There's a vanity with a stool, separate counter and mirror, but there's only a dim ceiling light over it, so you have to stand in front of the main mirror to actually see yourself.

The room was well-maintained but the coffee machine and cups were kind of grungy. I left a small cooler on the counter, and called later to see if I could go pick it up, but no one returned my call. The manager mailed it to me when I contacted him.
