Downtown Long Beach is a popular nightlife center with most restaurants, bars, clubs and live music venues located along Pine Avenue from 4th Street to the Pike and Shoreline Village. Another stretch of bars and restaurants are interspersed among the shops along 2nd Street through Belmont Shore and Naples. There are a few outliers, but these two areas are the core of the Long Beach nightlife scene.

Dress codes apply at most places and at some clubs men are routinely patted down.
