The Venue
Steve Donahue and cast are up close and personal with the audience at the Tibbies Great American Cabaret performance of "Dancing Queen" aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA
Photo © 2007 Kayte Deioma, courtesy of www.KayteDeioma.comThe venue is very intimate. Tables are placed right up to the edge of the stage, and the singing and dancing cast are just inches away. If you're intimidated by having the performers close enough to touch, you can request not to be seated at the center front table, but performers sing from other areas of the audience as well.
The dinner selection is limited, but the food quality has really improved in recent years. Children's selections are available.
The Show
The shows tend to be well cast with great singing talent. Many cast members are also regulars in Disneyland shows and on cruise ships, as well as in local musical theatre productions. You might also see faces that have appeared on TV or in movies. The cast does double duty as wait staff, serving dinner before the show and dessert at intermission.
