Valentine's Day Events in Los Angeles

1. TOURific Escapes Chocolate Indulgence Tour

TOURific Escapes will offer their chocolate Indulgence Tour of some of LA's most decadent chocolate shops the Friday before and after Valentine's Day. If the chocolate tour is full, they also offer a Hollywood Sites and Bites Tour.

2. Valentine Tea and Tunes at the Banning Museum

The Banning Museum will host its annual Valentine's afternoon tea with sandwiches and sweets served on antique tea sets, live music and house tours. The Banning Museum is the 23-room 1864 Greek Revival residence of Phineas Banning, who was instrumental in building the Port of Los Angeles.

3. Watson Adventures' Naked at the Getty Scavenger Hunt

Celebrate Valentine's Day with Watson Adventures on a Valentine's Day scavenger hunt for nudity at the Getty Center. Teams of two to six people will discover secrets hidden in works of art involving nudity while tackling witty, tricky questions. No knowledge of art - or nudity - is needed to succeed.

4. Valentine's Dance Under the Wings of Reagan's Air Force One

If you're looking for an unusual place to celebrate Valentine's Day in the LA area, and you don't mind spending it with a couple hundred other people, consider spending it at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library. The Reagan Library's Valentine's Day Sweetheart's Dinner and Dance will be held on the grounds of the Library where tables for two will be set up under the wings of President Reagan's Air Force One airplane, which is on permanent display. Tickets include museum entrance, dinner, dancing to live music and a rose in a bud vase to take home. Commemorative photos will be available for purchase.
When: Thursday, February 14, 2013, 6-9:30 pm

5. Victorian Valentine Tour at the Grier Musser Museum

Victorian Valentine's Day traditions from antique valentines to kewpie dolls and teddy bears will be on display. The Grier Musser Museum is a restored Victorian house in Downtown Los Angeles. Admission includes tour and refreshments. Reservations recommended.
When: Feb 10, 2013, 1-4 pm, tours start at 1 and 2:30 pm (To be confirmed)

6. Chamber Music in Historic Sites

Spend the afternoon with your Valentine attending an intimate concert of masterworks with JACK Quartet with Mak Grgic, guitar at the historic Women's Twentieth Century Club or Mak Grgic, guitar & Jay Campbell, cello at Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock.

7. Sex and the City Zoo Dinner

The Greater LA Zoo Association is inviting you to come out to the Zoo for a lighthearted "celebration of animal dating, mating and cohabitating" for Valentine's Day. Zoo veteran Jason Jacobs will share insights about the pros and cons of relationships in the animal kingdom. Champagne and chocolate will be provided for the humans. An optional 5-course dinner is available. Reservations are required by February 8.

8. Valentine's Day Art Walk in Downtown LA

The February Downtown LA Art Walk takes place this year on Valentine's Day, so you're sure to find lots of heart-themed jewelry and other romantic gifts among the original works of art and handcrafts on display through the Downtown LA Gallery District. 9. Ventura County Winery Association's Valentine 'n Wine

The Ventura County Winery Association invite guests to experience a wine tasting flight at each of seven wineries over the course of three days for one, wallet-friendly price. Visitors are also invited to “sip and stay,” as Crowne Plaza Ventura and Marriott’s Courtyard Camarillo are offering Valentine ‘n Wine packages which gives guests a special rate on both the passport and overnight accommodations when purchased on the respective hotel websites.
