Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa is an 11-acre oasis in the desert outskirts of Corona, California about an hour drive (57 miles) south-east of Los Angeles. The luxurious compound has grown up around a natural mineral hot spring that gives the resort its name.

You can fill a whole day at Glen Ivy Spa without ever booking a treatment. There are plenty of ways to pass the time between the many pools, hot tubs, the red clay mud bath, and relaxing in the tropically landscaped gardens or taking a fitness class - all included for the price of admission. Unique spa treatments are available as a-la-carte add-ons.

"Unpretentious" is an adjective often applied to Glen Ivy Hot Springs. Regular folks of all ages (16+), ethnicities, shapes and sizes from across Southern California, as well as visitors from around the world, come to enjoy the healing waters. Although women outnumber male visitors to Glen Ivy, the men have just as much fun soaking in the mineral baths, playing in the mud and treating themselves to a nice massage.

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is a great day out for couples, a girlfriend getaway, mother-daughter bonding, a bridal shower, or even a bachelor party. It's also a great place to escape on your own and leave your everyday world behind. After running around LA theme parks and attractions for a few days, it's a great way to unwind and refresh at the end of your vacation before heading back to work.

You can't stay at the Spa itself any more, but it's definitely a worthwhile destination for both spa fans and newbies. Its regular appearance on Top Spa lists attests to its ongoing popularity, and the improvements they've made over the last decade have really enhanced the options available to visitors. If you want to stay nearby, several hotels in Corona have spa packages for Glen Ivy.
